About Michael Bloemen

Michael is an inventive ‘ideas man’ coupled with the practical engineering expertise to make the ideas a reality.

In 2000 Michael started his own business and in his second year designed and patented a bale feeder, dubbed the Chainless 2001. He sold it to Hustler Handling Equipment (who rebranded it as the Hustler Chainless 2000 Bale Feeder) who continue to produce a number of units each year.

Shortly after, Michael went on to engineer the innovative High Runner Backing Gate – making it a reality in 2004. It is now found in cow sheds all over Taranaki, and New Zealand!

Michael’s active engineering mind helps him find ways to continually promote efficiency, reliability, and safety in the dairy industry – providing cost-saving initiatives to farmers operating milking sheds.
